With the “Escale australienne” (“Australian stopover”), Australia invites itself to Le Havre!

From June 5 to November 7, 2021, the City of Le Havre immerses itself in Australian life and culture with the event “Le Havre, Australian stopover”: a rich and varied program to discover this island-continent and its particular links with the city of Le Havre.

Throughout the Escale, come and discover unique exhibitions: contemporary Australian creations, heritage drawings from the Bonaparte expedition to Australia in 1800, works of Aboriginal art, photographs on Australia, artistic installations in different districts of the City.

At any time, animations and highlights will make you live at the Australian time: discovery of typical Australian physical practices, festive events around arts or coffee, shows, music, cinema, readings, nature and play activities… There is something for all tastes and all ages!

On each page of this website, you will find a summary of the proposed activity in English. Looking forward to seeing you!
